Here's a shot I took in Sunriver Oregon. I was thrilled when I found the location. Beautiful sky, trees, river, and grass. I think this is the best of the bunch (you can see the others I took by browsing starting here http://flickr.com/photos/landon9720/2751959717/) but I'm not satisfied with it. The trees in particular look colorless and washed out. I did apply some white balance and color correction in Picasa. Please let me know what you think...

it's look a little warm IMO but of course this is up to you and your tastes..... this would be better as landscape rather than portraiture....IMO there is too much sky and a lot of it could be cropped out to make the image more efffective...

I like it though....

ps - not sure if you are happy with the sharpening effect.... Picasa's sharpening tool is a blunt instrument of destruction....

either way I find the image warm and pleasing..

btw... welcome to the forum...

Agree with Travis' comments concerning image orientation. Additionally, this is a case where a 2 stop graduated neutral density filter would have taken the sky from nice to 'Wow!'. Good job.

I think this shot really needs a centre of interest..something that really draws and focuses the eye of the viewer. A big moose standing out in the grass would have been perfect, but then photographers can't always get what they want.
