Yes, it is true! I have devoted one of my Sony Alpha cameras to keeping the Samyang 8mm f/3.5 fisheye lens mounted full-time. I suppose some may think that this is just a phase I am going through, but I am really liking this fine lens more and more for my Fogo Island landscapes. It's just a matter of strategically composing the shot so that it is less "fishy" looking.
Here are some captures from the past few days. All were taken handheld with my A500 and Samyang (Rokinon) 8mm fisheye. None have been defished.
