Default Fisheye doubles as outstanding landscape lens

Yes, it is true! I have devoted one of my Sony Alpha cameras to keeping the Samyang 8mm f/3.5 fisheye lens mounted full-time. I suppose some may think that this is just a phase I am going through, but I am really liking this fine lens more and more for my Fogo Island landscapes. It's just a matter of strategically composing the shot so that it is less "fishy" looking.

Here are some captures from the past few days. All were taken handheld with my A500 and Samyang (Rokinon) 8mm fisheye. None have been defished.

nice set, I really like the wideness you can capture with it. I really like the sky in the first 3 shots. I'm yet to add a fisheye to my kit bag, but the more shots I see here the more I want one!

Thanks Bambi! Nope, no defishing at all. It's just a matter of how best to frame the shot for the least amount of distortion. And it's fun having to use your mind a little to make it all come together. Of my many lenses, this is my favorite!

I'm no fan of fisheye lenses I'm afraid. I don't have one because I don't want one. Having said that ... these are very nice use of a fisheye!!
