How do the assignments work? I presume it is photos taken in July only? Can someone point me to the idiot's guide? :D

Yup - no one will flog you, but the image for this level 2 assignment should be posted here in this thread and should be taken in July.
July's regular assignment (photographing my country or city) should be posted here (http://www.photography.ca/Forums/f13/july-2011-photography-assignment-my-city-country-15264.html)

Well, its not that creative because that is exactly the way it is. The Calgary Stampede flies the flag. It is illuminated somehow as well. The flag is huge! On a windy day when it snaps in the wind it sounds like gunshots almost.

Very nice JAS. I really like the flag against the Calgary skyline. Especially like how the flag is blurred and shows movement.

I like the blurred movement as well.

This is about as creative of photo with our flag that I was able to get this month. Flying on the front of the General Store on our town square. Usually it is packed around here but I went crawling around about 1 in the morning when the square has an awesome atmosphere to it.
