Haha pretty crazy costumes, looks like a pretty busy festival.

really fun set asnow.
I love the gesturing in post 1 shot 1, wish the men were sharper though.
shot 2 is way fun.
also like the last group shot in post 3

Thanks Realist, Marko. I too loved the expression in the first one but almost didn't post it because of the sharpness (it was such a quick reaction to snap the picture I just missed it)

It was quite the party. They are expecting over 1 million people for the parade on Sunday. Next year (2014) will be even crazier as it will be the world pride event.

This is a very cool set. Pride always brings out such a cool array of costumes.

#2 of set 3 (2nd image on 2nd post) is very nice and my favorite. You may want to try and separate her face from the back of the guy behind her

Great job documenting the fun! A flash would have really helped with some of the flat lighting that none of us can control. I hate using flash indoors but it does a great job in most cases outdoors.

Great news photo work - never as easy as it looks.

AT - Thanks for the suggestion. I think for that shot I was shooting between two people's heads in front of me. I was worried more about getting the shot than the background.

Missy - Flash is something I just haven't been using, but I should try it for these kind of pictures. Mind you I'm not sure if the pop-up flash would generally work that far away and walking around with an external flash is much more bulky. However I should give it a try to see.

Jim - News photo work is still a work in progress for me. Thanks for the encouragement.

Nice set asnow. You have captured the real feel of the people in and watching the parade. I need to be careful with my wording but I am drawn to the subtlety of the shot the guy walking away with the apron, as he is in such contrast to those around him. The expression in the first shot is great.

Thanks Runmonty, JAS. I thought it was rather cheeky of the guy to only wear an apron.
