What's eating our roses

found this chewing holes in the petals of some of our roses

Here's a thread we let slip by unnoticed ...

Such nice colours ... I think he'd be dead were they my roses!

I am not really sure - but that could be an May Beetle. And he should be no danger for your roses. Normally they are eating leafes of the deciduous trees, as I can remember.
