Found these dogs chained to an old barge in Pond Inlet, Nunavut.

Is that one of those bIs that one of those boys that the navy uses to tie up? There normally out in the salt-chuck not on shore!oys that the nvey uses to tie up. there nomaly out in the salt chuck not on shore. Nice photo.

Thanks gang! Pond Inlet is a cool place (pun intended). I always like to shoot the dogs up north. The seem hardier.

It looked to me like an old barge. Not sure what that navy thing looks like.

I agree. but don't stop posting- they tell the story of the life of these dogs.

Only an animal lover who doesn't understand the use of dog teams in the arctic. Nearly worth their weight in gold, these dogs are very well treated and any good team dog loves what it does and so it isn't exactly slavery. Excellent portraits all.

Very nice images in this thread. I'm one of the ignorant that would like to see some of those dogs with a bit more room to breathe though.
