A little Redpoll ... I don't know him well enough to judge if he's a Common Redpoll or a Hoary Redpoll

Very nice and up to your usual standards. I would think he'd be a Hoary Redpoll taking into account the hoar frost.
That lens (and you) created an awesome bokeh behind this little guy. Great exposure on him and cool composition as well.
Just beautiful, Donna. Do you have a freakin' aviary in your back yard? Seems like we see a new bird every day. It just amazes me. Maybe I just can't see them but I just don't see that variety around here.
Another beautiful capture Donna. Love the natural perches and the lovely bokeh. I think you are safe, as it is a Common Redpoll, (colour on cheeks).
he's adorable. I've never heard of a Red poll let alone figuring out whether they are 'common' or 'hoary'!
brilliant shot, love the sharpness with the bokeh.
Wonderful image Donna! :)
oooh, what a cutie. great shot.
Lovely image Donna!
Another great image Donna. Like Iggy, I can't believe the variey of birds you see and get pictures of.
I have to agree with all here. Very nice one.
Me too!! Very nicely done. The little bit of frost on that branch works well with birds colouring.
Thanks Everyone! :)
I do have quite a variety of birds around . I also have a small creek on my property and it draws in a lot of birds that don't feed at feeders ( like the Crossbill from my other post )
Thanks for the ID Hillbilly ... I really must get myself a better bird book one of these days . My book only has the difference between the two , being a striped rump on the Common . We have both varieties together in the flocks here , so pretty hard to remember wich butt went with wich little flittery birdie , LOL :)
