Thanks Bambi, he was safe from the paws 'n paws brigade as I found him in a hotel meeting room I was setting up. I used the D300s and 105 mm micro and really thought I'd gotten a cleaner shot. I think I'll go D700 from now on :laughing:

PS feel free to send the d300 to me ;)

I'm in no way slagging the d300, I just prefer the full frame camera with this particular lens as it seems to get way more detail from the scene. I wouldn't be waiting for the Fed-x truck just yet Bambi :laughing:

I've photographed these little critters many times and have yet to get one this sharp.

Cool capture. Love the pronounced "slice of sharpness".

Great pic. Really like the focus here!!
