Red, red robin

Found this guy when I found the grackle. Not very happy with the outcome but thought I'd share anyway... Practicing my PP skills and it seems they still suck! :)

PP or not they are still decent shots Iggy. I like the "robins egg blue" background on the 1st one.:)

Thanks. I re-read what I wrote and realized that I didn't explain very well. The second image is the original image and the first is the processed result.

I don't think that anyone could have done more.

Thanks but it would have been much nicer to have gotten a better shot to start with :) It's a poor workman that blames his tools but at the same time I think I'm starting to see the reason why people shell out the big bucks for higher end bodies and lenses. :(

What lens are you using for these? By the way don't try renting one of those L lenses (like I have) , it will make you want one even more. I can definitely see the difference in sharpness between the kit lenses and the L lenses. I know in most cases it's the photographer that makes the image, but sometimes the equipment does help. .

This is my trusty Sigma 70-300mm. The big issue with this capture was not having my tripod with me. I don't wanna even think about using an L series... way out of my budget range for now and I know I'll want one.
