Hooded Merganzer and young

I think this is a Hooded Merganser, had to wait about two hours for them to come out of the reeds before I could get a shot.

Thanks for the compliments and looking Ed, Iggy, and Bambi, I had talked to a pro nature photographer and as he said you always need to have patience and let the wildlife come to you. You cant go chasing it.

Nice capture of a very nervous hard to capture species.
You can find a very cheap blanket blind just to throw over you and that will help immensely. All thats needed is to break up your human outline.
