Waiting For Lunch
I have no idea how many times I have tried to photograph one of these guys. Just wound up with tons a little blurs flying off in the distance. Was shooting a stream today and this fella stopped by just on the other side and hung out for a while. Completely made up for the 4 mile hike to find a waterfall that apparently does not exist anymore earlier in the day!

The softness of the water and the detail of his feathers are awesome!!!! Great shot!!!!
Word of advice, if you ever ride to the top of Stone Mountain in the afternoon and you hear a horn go off while you are up there, the horn is telling you that the last tram of the day is leaving!!! It is a LONG walk to the bottom, plus the path ends up on the opposite side of the mountain to where you parked to ride the tram up. Trust me, I learned this the hard way!!! :headslap:

Thanks.
I'm to cheap to ride the tram and have always walked up it anyways, but then again it is just a little mountain compared to the ones I am normally walking around on around the house in the north part of the state. It is about time to pay a visit to Stone Mtn though, have not been there in a few years and it was for work then. Just to crowded normally for my taste.

excellent catch. I like the comp and detail

Lovely catch! To my eye, shot looks underexposed by a good stop and playing with the exposure slider will help. Just make sure to bring the brightest highlights back down after the play.

A very nice shot and a good suggestion from Marko.

ditto what Marko said. It has potential though. Lovely colors...all the ones I ever see hardly deserve having blue in their name.
