lol I'm eating fritos right now too. Really got nice bokeh, sharpness, and color.
Both good shots! Really dig the overall comp in shot 1. Somebody's been hitting golf balls and doesn't even realize it ;)
In terms of bringing shot 1 up a bit more, look at the top edge. Brightness on an edge like that is a sure eye grabber - crop that puppy out. Left edge, also brightness distraction - burn it in. For me, this is essential to bringing images up a notch.
For shot 2 - look at the gesturing of the squirrel's eye and paws. there's tension there. That's awesome! So for me shot 2 is actually more interesting but to my eye shot 1 looks cleaner.
Eyen though this is a squirrel and they are everywhere...getting a shot like this is not easy because you always have the background to examine before you click the shutter.
Hard and exhausting after doing it for a few hours, (if you dare) but well worth the effort.
