Super sharp!!!
There is a family of these in my backyard. They are too jumpy to even try to get a shot.
Beautiful! Those guys won't come anywhere near Alberta.
You need a hide, AT or maybe a long lens from your kitchen?
Nice one RD - really dig the deep colour
Thanks everyone
Nice and sharp
Really nice portrait RB! The detail is great. One little trick I like to do is to add a little black to the red channel which tends to give me detail in the reds. Generally speaking, sensors have a difficult time with reds and they end up just being a puddle of red. You reds are fairly well controlled throughout except in just a few little areas. Because on the almost solid background, I would also suggest doing a NR and then using a layer mask, bring back in the detail in the bird.
These are only my little nits, just trying to be more constructive then always saying "great picture".
Crap. Sorry about that. In all honesty I did look in the top right corner and read that he was ok with editing his work so I assumed critiques would be fine, I just didn't read further (I would make a bad lawyer I guess). Anyways, I think I know RB well enough (from another forum) that I trust he knows anything I say to him is always meant to be constructive and with a positive tone.
