WOW!!!! AWESOME!!
Did you get these at FCP?
-
No I was down a Carburn park. It was -13c my hands were cold so I was shooting off my tripod and the legs wouldn't extend one set so I ended up getting too much grass in my view. These guys also move around a lot.

Really nice captures greg, love the color and clarity:highfive:

these are awesome Greg! :highfive:

I like the ones of them locking antlers the best. They are all so clear knowing that you have to get the shots off in a hurry.
-
Awesome job! Wonderful wonderful set!
-
Fabulous Greg. Lovely focus and soft background.

Very nice! What lense were you using for the shots?
-
What's a buck worth? A lot more than a dollar with shots like those Greg! Awesome job!!

Thanks for all the complements, I was using my 80-200mm 2.8 for these. Every-time I tried to move they would stop and look at me. So I would kneel back down and they would go back at it. I didn't want them to think I was challenging them, I bet those horns would hurt.
The females are much friendlier. While I was sitting amongst 8 of them this morning one came up sniffing the air around me. So I sniffed back, to my surprise she came closer. Next thing you know she touched noses with me. So you could say I had a deer kiss.

Thanks! I'll be staying at my sister's in McKenzie Towne for a few days (heading up tomorrow), I'll have to check the park out - but my long lense is not nearly as fast (70-300 VR). It looks like you needed the 2.8 to get those guys without motion blur.

Sweet! Great shots. I always like looking at wildlife photos and you've done some very nice work here.

Wow - awesome shots! MA did well to nominate one!
