Calgary Reflections
I spent quite a bit of time today meandering through Calgary. It is amazing what you can learn about the city you live in by walking through the streets and back alleys. Today was quite a bright day, and I got taken by all the shiny reflections in the glass and the polished chrome. Here are some examples.
Old city hall reflected in the new city hall

The "Bow", also reflected in new city hall

The Calgary Tower. Not sure what the name of the building is that I was standing under, but it had the most shiny chrome under eaves, which reflected the sidewalk I was standing on ...

Of course I had to get more reflective on the Calgary Tower, so I used the wonderful glass on city hall again:

And one last reflection - there is a glass balustrade alongside a walkway leading up to city hall. I was amazed at the reflection in it:

I like 'em all, but I think I like the reflection of the sidewalk the best. It's the distortion of the drain that does it.

Cool stuff! You would be surprised how far from city center you can go and still get the tower in reflections.
