Coastal Icons

Most every fishing village on the BC coast that had a packing plant or a cannery had one or more ice houses. With consumer demand for fresh product and the introduction of modern onboard freezers compact enough to fit the smallest boat along with a reallocation of the fish resource from the commercial fleet to the commercial recreational fishing sector they're slowly disappearing. Omega Packers is one of two left in the village where I live. Nice just before sunset light.

It looks like it's gazing out over the water. Neat effect.

Cool, it kinda reminds me of the fishing dock from The Karate Kid II where he dodges the big hook. Love the colour in the sky and the light on the building is very nice.
