We often laugh/joke at the ignorance from Americans about anything beyond the Californian and New York coastlines ... and here you are adding to the (yes we know it's not really that bad ... I think) stereotype :)
You could count the locations that get snow in Aussie on your fingers without needing to take your socks off ;) I'd need to drive about 15 hours south to find snow in winter ... in summer ... there's nowhere.
