Looks like it was a great day for a walk on the beach. I really like this image. The repetition with the smaller attempt at an inukshuk and the main one nicely focused. The sky and clouds are very nice as well. Technically a very good shot.
Thanks Iggy. Actually it wasn't a very nice day for a walk along the beach unless you were dressed very warmly. The picture was taken at the end of October and there was a bitter north wind blowing across Georgan Bay. After about 15 minutes of taking pictures without gloves, my hands were frozen.
Hehehehe. Sorry. The blue sky made it look nicer than it was, I guess.
I quite like this! The splashing wave really adds to it. I also agree with Iggy's comments on your composition
Thanks Bambi. This would a very nice walk during warmer weather. Collingwood is in the snow belt area of Ontario and usually at this time of year there would be snow on the ground. (Picture was taken Oct 31st) Generally by say mid to late November the ski resort (Blue Mountain) which is only a few km away would be open. Actually I made the venture to Collingwood to get my first snow pictures of the winter and to my surprise there wasn't a bit of snow on the ground.
What Iguanasan and Bambi said. I like the color combo, too.
Thanks Q1
Very nice shot with all the layers of DoF.
I'm liking the composition here too.
I saw some of these on a beach up the Sunshine Coast awhile back, and after seeing several photos here at ph.ca of them I had to wonder whether we should close our beaches to Canadians! ;-p
I just don't get the idea of creating something man-made on natural beauty.
