Beamer Dreams
so I went to the Westport Concours d'Elegance this weekend and there were some gorgeous cars on display. Unfortunately the light was pure crap and I put the camera away. Early on however, before the public came in, a collector was setting up his pre-war BMW motorcycles and I got a few shots that pass muster.

I just love these old bikes. They make my K1200s seem like it could go to the moon. Periodically during the day I'd see the owner tooling around on one and the sound was pretty wonderful. Then a Ferrari would go by or a 356 and it would be all too much.

very cool captures, love the reflections and dof

thanks Ed. Here's another one I processed today. I don't do this kind of thing often, but here it seems to suit it well.

Cool pictures. I like the last one with the gauge.

really nice shots for going out of your comfort zone!

thanks peeps.
we used to go to a lot more car & bike events than we do now and so I haven't shot them in ages. I really need a longer lens for it if I were going to do it more.

Really nice set, WickedD. I like the selective colour on the last as well.

Thanks Jackie. I don't do it often, but it worked with this one.

thanks. back then mfgs used a lot more natural materials than they do now. i got into an 80s vintage Maserati that was up for auction and the entire interior was either leather or burled wood of some kind. freaky to see that much these days.
