Love the detail but I find the image is overall too dark for me. I like that the more I look the more I learn. At first glance I didn't realize what it represented until I started noticing things like the feather in the hair. It's a bit of a miss for me overall though. Maybe it's too artsy for my brain but I would have expected to see a face or something.
Nicely done, Marko. I like the light a lot, and the way the background is lit as well. Only thing I find a little confusing are the shadows created on the hand. Maybe if the light was coming more from the direction the face is pointing? I dunno ...

I too find this a wee bit dark...but for me it has a 'mood'. I missed the blue hour and this was shot at 10:30 pm. The statue was lit partially by a spotlight and partially from the lights from the fountain it is attached to... and I had a hell of a time burning hotspots.
The building was lightpainted. My flash-light needed to be 2x as strong for this task....or I need to do more PP.
I really gotta stop looking at photos at work... it looks much nicer on my home screen. :) I like it a lot more now :)

Seriously, my monitor at work sucks... at home it looked much nicer. I'm looking at it again on my work screen and it's kinda bleh but at home it was very nice.Quote:
