Tower Clock in Albany

Still sifting through photos I never got to process and was playing with this one.

I was learning about my 10 -22mm lens here and I think this one has too much lens distortion to save as a serious photo.

So I decided to have a play with both colour and B&W

I am glad that you saved this one. I like both versions. the feel is very different. this is a silly question but what is the lens distortion?

I quite like them both...the towering perspective works for me.

Add a shadow of a person and you got a winner for this months theme! :p

Here's a site that explains it for you. Lens Distortion

The wider you go the more noticeable it tends to be when you have long straight lines (like buildings) in your photo. My 10 -22mm is horrible for it at the 10mm end.

I wonder how many times I've seen a photo and thought..fish lens but maybe it's distortion...?

Quite often I'd say. Do a search on Flickr for fisheye and you'll see what a real fisheye does. A good fisheye will get 180°
