I shot this a couple of weeks ago and would like to here some constructive thoughts about it. I would consider myself to be relatively new to photography although I have shot for a couple years now.

Looks very powerfull to me. Only thing is alignement. Seems to tilt to the right a bit .... maybe you could PhotoShop it straighter?
In all honesty, I find the watermark totally overwhelms the photo to the point where I see the watermark as the subject and the photo as an accessory.:sorry:....just calling it as I see it.
I know Dunsmuir family history is a huge part of the westcoast having grown up and spent 35 years of my life in Victoria. :)
I quite like the composition on this. Most people would have wanted the archway face on and ended up with a familiar looking shot.
The watermark does definitely make it a bit difficult to look at. Take the stroke (black outline) off it and it might be less imposing but still effective.
Thanks for the response. I am currently working on making the watermark more subtle. I got to look at it again about the shot being crooked. I normally have a good eye for things being level but I'm not perfect.

Really like the steps here! The image does seem to tilt slightly right, but other then that, it's a real nice composition and I like the variety of textures.
It's quite an imposing shot for sure - Nice. It might have been interesting to also get a shot at this angle with the door open.
Our eyes naturally tend to follow lines, paths and curves, so the open door might have guided our eyes a bit more. Just a thought.
Just as an FYI - direct uploading is fine if the image is less than 250K.
Images are never resized, but the filesize gets compressed if the image is above 250k. Personally I always upload files around 150k-200k. More than good enough for the web and not good enough to print. :)

the image is so powerful to eyes..very good work; I like the textures of the steps there but the watermast is distubing element in your pic
