I defy anyone to get one on the move :laughing: Once they're hovering it gets easier. The hard part is getting focus, exposure, and comp all in a line before they zip off. You can narrow the odds a bit by watching for a while then get a fair idea as their favourite "Hover spots" That prediction helps pre selecting exposure and focus. In this case I predicted where he would hover then found a blade of grass or something roughly the same distance for focus, got a pre focus so that when he stopped, the camera lens could see it and just tighten up if that makes any sense:D If you're not set to the right focal distance the 70-300 can pass right by the dragon and end up locked on a water bubble in the creek below:headslap:
