more likely he's just taking advantage of the down time to have a nap. Based on this picture he looks in good weight and condition which is not what I can say when I see many of these carriage horses in various cities. it's a nice capture of his face but here's a tip: if you want to tell a story about horses you really need to catch the ears they tell so much about a horse's mood, interest, health etc.,. :).
Cool shot, to me part of the horse's white coat looks blown, I'd try to tone it down. I'd also probably crop the person at the right edge out.
