I always react in the same way when I see photographs like this. I find myself wondering what I've done that has kept me from being in the same shoes myself because, Lord knows, I've done plenty and made bad choices that would have otherwise put me there too.
Very emotional shot, especially with the explanation of the subject.
Yes, It is one of the first thoughts in my mind every time I see a scene such as this. One wrong turn and it could be me, or any one of us. This is why you must live every day as though it is your last, when at all possible.
Very strong photo journalistic shot. The stairs in the background add to the image in a big way. "Discarded" comes to mind. Went to see "next to normal" last night, a play about a bipolar woman and her family, very strong play. This Image reminds me that not all is what it seems. Many of the homeless are there because of mental health issues, and society does not really know what to do .... I like this image, since it does tell a story.
This just makes me sad so it's a job well done. :(
Thanks for the comments :) It makes me sad when I look at his face too.

well done. When the emotion comes out, you know it's a successful shot.
