I thought with the dramatic feel of the unmodified flash a monochrome look would work nicely. I like how it turned out.

I like the shot - Since you are okay with critique, this looks to me like it could benefit from a wee bit of levels or curves play to up the contrast in the baby's face , hands and front pyjamas.

Thanks for the advice Marko. I didn't notice how flat the face looked. I will have keep that in mind for future editing. Below is an updated photo.

I prefer shot 2 but I think you overdid it a bit on the blacks in the PJ - feels a bit too dark now and is losing detail- especially the background.

To me the light gives this a haunting effect as if the baby were worried about something.
