Posing could be improved. The hand closest to the camera generally looks larger which means that with clasped hands you overlap the nearest hand with the farthest hand. A diagonal angle makes the person look slimmer and that applies to the face as well. Female heads should be tilted more than male heads and male heads are generally tilted toward the low shoulder and not the high shoulder.
There should be some degree of detail even in the shadow areas of a portrait or it has not been properly lit. Eyes of course should be the most prominent and visually effective part of a portrait.

Thanks, again. When I get my light back, I'll reshoot and try a lower seat, and a 45 degree angle, and more reflectors to fill in the shadow side a bit, and more seperation from the backdrop. :) :fingerscr
