I'm having trouble finding anything to critique really! This is very good in my opinion. I, maybe, would have placed that tree more to the right of frame, but that's just me.
It's quite a juxtaposition this ... the coldness of the frost and the warmth of the morning sun light.
For my money, great work!
Yeah, I'm kinda feelin' the same way. My only issue, if I had to pick on something, is the fact that the ground slopes to the left. The horizon is straight but the sloping ground is mildly disconcerting. Overall though, it's a great shot. The frost on the grass is very cool.
I like this shot taffy but it's not wowing me as some of your past shots have. I think it's because the background is nice but nothing is grabbing me in foreground or midground. (Just my 2 cents)
I love the textures of the grass. I would play with the crop to have the tree more right and a bit less foreground.
Hi Taffy,
I love the picture well done. I agree with the others about the tree. If it was to the side it would be less distracting as it's acting like a black hole wishing to suck you into a void.
Best wishes,

Agree with the others, great shot, especially good rendition of "cold as hell". Generally I find the darkness along the middle a bit disconcerting, the tree has already been mentioned as a "black hole" but I find there's a similar dark patch on the left side and also, to a lesser extent, on the right side.
WOW. This is exceptional taffy. Only wish I had taken it! Beautiful - jimmy
Thanks everyone for the kind comments.
I have played around with the crop as Bambi suggested and offer this as an alternative.
I'll leave you guys to let me know if you think it is an improvement!

Definitely an improvement to my eye. Now the tree has a real place as a silhouette off to the side rather than a blob in the middle. Nice job.
