Door to the Belfry
Taken in our local village Church. The door leads to the belfry with its one bell, which is rung on holidays and special occasions. The belfry dates back to Norman times.
I posted a colour version a different thread and thought it might look good in black and white.
Comments welcome.

Makes me want to take a seat in one of the pews. Lovely shot.

Works beautifully as B&W! Great tones and textures.

really like the perspective you used here and ditto on the tones and textures- well made!

I agree with all the above but when I look at the door my eye travels to the piece of paper in the window of the left side. Nice work tho. :)

A little late to chime in but I agree with everyone else - very wonderful tones. Nicely done!

Awesome picture. As pointed out earlier, the only point of criticism is the paper in the window. Having said this, I doubt I would have removed it simply out of respect to the church administrator. Great picture in EVERY other aspect. Good job

Hi Taffy,
This is a great picture. Well done. How was it lit. I'd be interested to know.

Hi Northstone.
Thanks for the comments.
The lighting in the church is normal tungsten spotlights in the ceiling but this is an HDR shot that I have then converted to black and white in PS Elements.
