very strong image - love the lines and overall geometry as well as the person looking at the statue. Well done.
Just as an FYI, even though it's a teeny detail, my eye went straight for those edges (as a distraction to be eliminated) before reading your post that it was unintentional.
I think I'd have to get picky to find much to critique in this. Maybe a bit more space at the bottom before the wall starts. The bright wall near the statue could be a bit too bright perhaps.
Love the composition and leading lines. Looks almost like a selective colouring black and white, but I think it's actually full colour right?
Yes, it is full colour, well spotted :) - this one was from a strange area of concrete pillars and concrete ramps outside the Opera House in Guangzhou.
Thanks for the comments! I guess I was wondering about the unconventional positions of the man and the statue. This is the full frame, and I only took one shot, so I can't give them any more breathing space. I think (hope) it still works but was wondering if anyone else agreed ;) I'm pleased at least two other people like it! :D :D :D
Make that 3 other people :),
This is very striking with it's hard architectural leading lines and soft lighting. Well spotted.
and you add me to make 4. this one of those photos that keeps drawing me back to look again. well spotted.
Five! though I do agree with Mad Aussie!
So pure... Nice job!
