I have been playing with natural light with portraits. Yes I know that the background is busy. Just trying to learn the technique of natural light shooting. When I get that down, then I will work on distracting backgrounds. C&C as always :)

The lighting on the model is quite nice! The eyes are sharp, the irises are alive. Good learning!
Can you describe the light you used? (type of light - position - if you used fill light/reflectors etc.)
Thx
Marko
Baddness - great job!!
Very nice! What's the blue hair light - that looks a different light source to what's hitting the girls face...
i dont find the background too busy at all - in fact i feel that it balances the asymmetrical framing of the subject a bit.
I really like the blue light cast on her head too.. suggests a spontaneous shoot in random lighting.
The light was just natural light coming in through a large window in my dining room. No reflectors, no other light. The blue hair is probably from me being heavy handed on the sliders.
Thanks guys :)
