Nicely captured. Good panning and nice work on the selective colouration. My only nit is that the image would be stronger if the subject was approaching rather than departing.

What does the unedited full color one look like. I am not really a fan of the black/white background. But... good panning. The background looks almost like it wasn't panned and maybe motion blurred, can't tell. Good pic though, I do agree - an approach would have been better.

It was panned albeit not too fast. Maybe shutter speed could have been a bit lower? It was 1/60th of a sec. It was for an assignment for a course I am taking. If we ever get out of this deep freeze we are in here I will go out and practice some more.

I like the color one much more.

I agree with MF - coloured one works better for me.

In the B/w one the top right corner is too bright, but even aside from that the feeling is totally different.

Agreed - I also prefer the colour one! But doing these kinds of things are a great way to develop your PP chops, so keep at it!

First off I like the composition, but I'm going to disagree with everyone re: Colour vs B&W. Why? When I look at the colour version my eye immediately jumps to the benches. But when I look at the B&W version my eyes dart over to the rider, then they start to wonder around the image.

I think for the colour version to work for me over the B&W, the background would need to be a bit more blurry (maybe that's accomplished with 1/30s).
