Love the first shot. The colors are great. Nothing to complain about in that picture. It would look great printed and framed for a wall. The second one....not so much. It is a good picture, but its too centred. Everything about it is good, but just too centred.
Thanks, jjeling, that is probably the thing about the second photo that I did not like and couuld never really put a finger on why.
Yeah, it's a really weird phenomenon which I'm sure a sociologist could explain but the rule of thirds is almost always necessary for every shot. There are times when you can break that rule but it seems to be rare. Try cropping the second one and see what you think.
I would get that first one printed up large and frame it. It would like great on a wall!
Although I like the yellow flower, i would have liked to have seen more of the flower's center.
I tried this crop on the pink gerberra. Does this work better do you think?
