Thought I would get a critique on this one. Saw this on a walk in the woods and figured it would make a good shot. Figured I should get a critique on this before I have it printed out.

I like the bokeh ... nice colours there but the main subject is too soft for my liking. I know you like 'soft' but sometimes I think things need to be sharp.
+1 on the bokeh and color
love the title -so fitting.
I REALLY like this shot.
To Improve, I too think the web itself should be sharper and for this shot, your tag text is distracting.
Ill check the original out, maybe the image fell apart too much when i resized it. Doubt that is the case. Ill make sure to try it again. It is kind of hard though. There isnt a lot of light in the woods as you can tell, and to get the bokeh, you have to be at a high focal length, so any movement of your hand or the subject will soften the picture up. I will go back and try though. I generally never pump the iso past 400, but maybe I will start trying it.
Here is the image again. I took the image I wanted to use for printing and resize it in a different way. The sharpness was saved much better than the other version. Instead of 800 at the longest side, it is now 1024 as well. Maybe this will help?
Nope, resizing the image ruins this it is much sharper viewed through PS. The details are extremely fine as you can tell. It is a sharp picture viewed through photoshop. Is there a way for me to share the full version of this?
Will make the update later tonight or early tomorrow morning. Thanks for the idea.
I've been linking my images in from Picasa Web because the forum software resizes the images and can make a bit of a mess of them. I know Marko would prefer to have them uploaded to the board but I kept getting comments of them being soft focus so I switched.
