Easter Portrait Photos
My poor kids, they got stuck being on the other end of the camera again today. :sorry: And boy oh boy it didn't last long..they know that all you have to do is start crying and mom will stop... :headslap:
I want to get some done once I get back from the city with some props but got these to test out the lighting in one of the rooms in the house where I wish to set up things.
Thank you for Critiques (and this mom can suck it up even if it's of the kids)
:thankyou:

Very Cute and they are just adorable, I like them. That hair cut of your sons looks familiar, not sure why lol.
-
Thanks! Ha ha..he wanted his hair done soo bad - like his dad does! Couldn't resist. Too bad my daughter cried for an hour because we didn't do her hair too! :p

I don't think I can critique any of those at all Kat. There's really nothing I can see that needs changing or improvement.
-
Very cute! I especially like the desaturated color one of your daughter.

These are great. :highfive: You have very photogenic children.
The only critical comment I would have is with the first photo. The DOF is a little shallow for me, and on my monitor is seems a bit bright. :twocents: The eyes look very sharp. Good job.

Thanks everyone. :thankyou:
So just a tad bright on the first one but the others have alright lighting? I find it hard on this monitor. Sit up 2 inches everything is bright go down 2 and it gets darker. Where do I sit????!!!! LOL
Is it okay to cut out hair or should I have the hair and face completely in there?

Changed my mind just a little this morning ... seeing as you are calling for us to be a bit more critical I think.
I agree that shot 1 (and the other full colour shots ) is tad bright in her cheeks and possibly fractionally over-exposed, but I don't think it's a real problem.
Clipping her chin off is perhaps something I wouldn't have done but for some reason it seems to work ok here.
Shot 2 has a shadow from the flash of her arm which is a bit unsightly.
As far as cropping the hair off I don't think it's an issue personally although I'm not sure there's a good reason to do that in this case or that the photos benefited from it.
Maybe if you shave that mullet http://www.mtbdirt.com.au/home/smf/S...ic/toocool.gif off you'll get a boy back instead of having two daughters :headslap: Poor child lives 9000 k's away from society as we know it and is left in a house with two females, one of which, constantly dresses up and expects him to act like Elle McPherson while she tells him how 'beautiful' he looks! (You're not related to TT are you?) No wonder the boy cries!! You tell him I said to pop a beer, slap himself down in front of a motor race, and tell the old lady to bugger off and go find a girl to play with. http://www.mtbdirt.com.au/home/smf/S...assic/hihi.gif

That's more like it!
I want to get these better and can't do that if I don't hear it!!!!
Actually, I didn't crop any of these photos. Let's just say they are going on stools next time!! :)
Hmm..so I should tell him to be more like mom? I'm the beer drinking, poker playing person of the house..ha ha
