This was a throw away shot I took out the window at some roadworks. I worked it HEAVILY for a "Sign of the Times" photo assignment at the last minute. I even used GIMP, which is very rare for me.

Hmmm not sure about this one Antz - It's not having a huge impact on me.
Agree with Marko; technically it's fine, given the circumstance, but artistically, I get nothing from it.
I wasn't really feeling this one either, sorry. I find sometimes that scenes have a bigger meaning to some than others. I saw the attached photo on one of my local churches and thought it was hilarious as it clearly demanded the separation of church and state (to me) but no one else got it. :(
yeah, not sure i'm gett'n it either... :cry-an:
oh cuz i thought it meant post meridiem..............
not post mortem?
Thanks for commenting. I realise it too easy to ignore the images that don't work and only comment on the good stuff(there's heap posted each day). I would appreciate more detailed reasons on why it doesn't work.:headslap:
Maybe it means more to me as I am not a very patient person. In a world of impatient people, that is saying something!
For what it is worth, I thought I'd show what the original image looked like.
Sorry, AntZ, I didn't mean to take away from your shot. I was just trying to illustrate the point. There's nothing really technically wrong with the shot as far as I can see. The subject just isn't interesting or meaningful to me.
If there was something in the photo to add some context to the sign it might work better. For example if there was a Fed Ex truck with "Speedy service" written on it and it had crashed into the sign then there would be more context. The sign, in and of itself, is just not interesting to me.
