does this work?
Absolutely it does! That's really nice work Bambi!
i like this photo very much because of your treatment, b&w plus color.
the only thing is i wish it was leveled.
What tools would people use to level this shot?
Excellent question marko!!!
I always would go into Photoshop/EDIT/Rotate Canvas, rotate it and then crop. But if there is a better way without losing lots of photo I want to know!!!!
How did you both determined this picture was not leveled?
There is perspective leading away which does not help to ascert it is not leveled. What should be the basis?
My own basis is the opening of the pot. it's a circle and looking at it and taking into account the perspective, I feel it is leveled.
Thanks
Hmm..you know..scratch my way of leveling it..I don't think that would work. It's the angle between the window and vase, kind of leans as if the wall was caving in.
i level my photos by using the measure tool and in this case use it on the vertical lines of the window. then go to rotate canvas and choose arbitrary and automatically it gives you how many degrees it is off. click ok and it will do the rest. you will lose some of the image because of cropping or if you have the patience, extend the missing portions to the blank areas using the available existing areas.
i attached an example. i hope you don't mind, bambi.
thanks for the comments guys. I too was thinking that it was levelled and it was the perspective. However, after looking at what edbayani did it does look better.
it was a lot of work to do this effect but it was a nice learning opportunity (and a lesson in patience :) ).
I have to say I love this site and all the learning that I can gain from it.
:thankyou:
