No sense asking for help and not doing it!! :)

You know I had some thoughts in mind and then...I have two monitors, only one of which is calibrated in any meaningful manner. When I first looked at your image I had some initial thoughts which included ideas on cropping; okay, - when I looked at it on the calibrated monitor the thoughts about cropping were less important.

I say all this because I thought it odd that gamma and colour correctness had anything to do with cropping of an image.

And then moreover - it really sucks that what you post to be viewed has little resemblance to what we see on our monitor.

The only suggestion I would contribute would be to crop the left and top to the same distance from the edge of the print - IMHO.

I'm sorry but I'm confused. Are the colors off? My monitor isn't calibrated so that happens :)

Colours are not off to my eye.
I think what Matthew is saying is that on his uncalibrated monitor where the colours ARE off, it looks like the image would look better cropped and he is surprised by that.

Personally that doesn't surprise me, since different shadows and tones 'add' to an image. If we can't see those subtle changes (because the monitor is too dark or too light or has a cast) we may want to change the image through cropping.....that's my take on it anyway and Matthew should feel free to correct me if I've misinterpreted.

Very well done, really like it a lot and not usually fond of flower shots, this is one of those exceptions. Oh and the colours look very nice on my two monitors of which are both calibrated.
