The Hand that Feeds

I'm fairly happy with this but I'd love a fresh-eyed critique here.

Nicely captured. Do you lose too much of the image to level it a bit?

I've come back to this twice. I think it's a wonderful capture. I do think it could be a bit more leveled and IMO..without the shadows/light. *LOL..we are having shadow issues today. I see the color of the shaded part of the bird on the left and think..oh man..imagine if they all had their colors like that.

My only advice I got is to maybe dodge the eye of the duck pecking at the food out of the hand. It's a bit dark on my screen..but that could be from the attachment too.

What friendly birds! Although you wouldn't see me feed them directly off of my hand... ;)

Thanks for the comments thus far. I've already cut off a good portion because the level was much worse....I might try a bit more if others feel the leveling is still too 'off'.

i think that with the hand being as bright as it is compared to the birds, that it draws your eye to the level issue. imo the hand is an accessory to the birds and not the beauty of the photo, which to me are the colors of the birds, there fore, yes, i would indeed level if you can.
