I will be going back to this spot, hopefully with my new ND filter ( I ordered a 4..still think I should of added the 8 too :wall-an:)
Anyways..I want to know if this "flow" looks alright.
How will the ND filter adjust this photo? Will shadows be darker? I hope this isn't silly to ask :o

I like it, it's an elegant abstract. Although I think with a longer exposure (to accentuate the water flow) it would be really perfect.
As far as I know, the ND filter is neutral in density and color so the ratio between the highlights and the shadows will be the same. :)Quote:

Yes, it was very dark. Deep in the shade and I didn't use a flash. The rock is actually in hdr and the rest is as the shot was taken. I have to really start using my flash and not be scared of it!!!

And just to play devils advocate ... I LOVE the darkness you left in this photo ... I think dark areas are needed sometimes. I need to learn to keep dark in my shots sometimes instead of processing it out too much. Darkness is a mood too ... a feel ... a contrast to the light. Sometimes it belongs.
