Had my first time to actually use the new camera the other day. Here are two of my favorites.

Great sharp pictures. Love the first because of the lovely green colour.
Congratulations to your new camera!:highfive:
Congrats on the camera. !!!!!
I like the first one. I might be a little underexposed and looks a little dark on my monitor.
I think your right, night be a little underexposed. But I was going for a highlight of the moss on the top.
Guess I'll have to go out again tonight and get some more pictures....Darn
I'm no expert, but I think the first one is stronger. I like how the top of the tree trunk is where the detail is sharpest. Think it might benefit from a little more space above the trunk though... the tree seems to sit too high in the image. I also agree that it could be a tad underexposed.
I find the second one a bit odd. I think I see what you are trying to do with the selective focus, but my eyes seem to be drawn to that blurry area to the right of the image center. Composition might be better if that blurry area wasn't there.
Agree about the first one--nicely done, maybe a tad dark. What kind of camera did you get?
Pentax K20D
I think the 2nd photo would have turned out better if the background was all the same color? I find looking at the moss and the dirt a tad distracting personally.
Found another picture of the stump on my laptop today.
