I really really love this! :1st:
Looks like I'm the odd man out again here.
Sorry marko but this doesn't appeal much to me at all.
It's abstract indeed but I find it messy. I search but can't find a focal point or subject to lock onto. Sometimes the entire image can be the subject but even looking at this way I find myself struggling.
I think it's because I really can't identify anything within the image clearly at all. And perhaps that's where it's mastery lies?
Perhaps my perception of photography is limited in this way? That's quite likely too I think. It probably has a lot to do with my own tastes of landscape photography.
Not sure ... in the end I can see it hanging in someone's hall, because I can recognise how it might appeal to others, but it's the type of thing I'd barely glance at, but after a brief admiration of the colours I'd walk on.
i love, love, love the colors, the monet-ish feel to it, the lines of the trees give it direction as well as a hint of what you are really looking at. it is so soft and lit well too. :highfive::clap::1st::1st:
MA - your concerns about focal point were/are my concerns as well(post 7). But I think for me in this case, the focal point is 'everything' or there is no focal point. I agree though there's nothing tangible to hold onto which makes the eye wander...and yet it still works for me. I'm glad others like it as well.
Thanks so much for the comments everyone.
Love the final image !!! I have to admit I downloaded and rotate the image after my first post*LOL
The rotation works:)
It would make a wonderful canvas print !!!
Nice job Marko
At first it is a nice expressionist painting, but then it seems also like reflection in the lake as a photography there is almost no anchor that leads me to think it was actually taken with a camera.
I am not much fond of low contrast subjective stuff, but thats me
Low contrast...? hmmm, you are right - the orig shows way better contrast. Just pumped up this second rotated version and I like it better. Thx - marko
I've checked this image many times and felt it best not to comment because I still really hadn't defined an opinion. I sided with MA's post but then tried to change my perspective again. For me it's an appealing abstract and my only beef is the color tones in the reds, they tend to pull more to the pink...AND I HATE PINK! :D It's only that and a smidgen of MA's vision that stop total love of this one:)
