Crow on rocks

maybe it's just me...but the background on this is a little distracting...to me i think it should have been taken more out of focus to bring more attention to the crow...my 2 cents

I quite like this shot as well, though I do agree with tekguy22. It would have been a bit nicer to have the background more out of focus. OR if the bird had solid shades behind its body instead of the mixed shades from the moss and the rocks.

The colour of the moss is a bit too green - perhaps oversaturated. Can you describe your post processing technique?

All that said though...I still like this shot a lot.

I also find the background somewhat distracting and find the Crow just blends to much into the background colour. Would have been a great shot if the background was lighter and the crow stuck out more. Nice capture of the crow though.

You're definitely almost there! For me I'd also like to see a solid patch of colour behind the crow's head. Right now the crow's head has both moss and rocks behind it. (It's not a simple task though)
