Hi all. got this shot lying on the ground with the tripod's extension arm hanging over the top of me. must have looked kinda strange! I was actually trying to get an HDR shot but didn't end up processing it much except for curves and a slight rotation. what do you think?
I like the symmetry. The lighting and patterns are cool. I have to admit I first thought it was a reflection shot until I saw the letters. There was an AhHa moment as I realised what it was, which was kind of cool. I might try rotating it so the letters are horizontal and see if that makes a better image.
Thanks AntZ. i had the same thought about rotating it... but it lost its aha moment. I should do it again and post it for a comparison. My girlfriend also clued me into the fact that the sign looks like "cairns convent" rather than "Cairns convention center."
I like it too. I think the black / blue colouring appeals along with the lines and simplistic effect of the black area.
I kinda liked the picture but I think if you pp and fix the lines to make em more `stright-like` instead of bent I think would look even better
Nice picture. but i think rotating 90degrees and cropping the letters off will make the picture even better...
