Been traveling around for quite a while and has always been fascinated with mother nature. Here are some snaps from the Philippines.

i really like the sky in the second one.
the second and third photos look like they are drawn, like artists sketches for architecture or something...
the forth is fantastic - love it!

The way to shoot night shots in the city is perfect timing. That means after the lights come on, BUT while there is still sufficient ambient light to define the edges of buildings in the distance and to provide some detail to otherwise black street areas.

When shooting buildings with a wide angle lens, the challenge is to avoid distortion. This means focal lengths of 28mm or above and a careful determination when choosing camera angle. In postprocessing it means using DX0 or the barrel distortion option, straighten option, or skew control, in Photoshop, PaintShop Pro or whatever editor you are using.

If this is an HDR then it did not work out as well as it should have. One of the results of HDR should be increased detail, tones and colour in dark areas.
That is not present in land part of this scene.

A weak fill flash would have better separated the guy from the background.
Otherwise a great shot.

My favourite shot is the 4th and a wee bit of fill flash as tegan suggested probably would have helped. There is also some vignetting going on. Still, this is a really nice shot.
Shots 2 and 3 are nice shots but the HDR (or other process) is not subtle enough for me. It brings attention to itself and is most noticeable in the greenery.
