this is a very pleasing and dynamic image. it pops. Hard to think of ways to improve it other than getting rid of that distracting/competing knot in the wood, and I think that's out of the question.
Put a frame around it and hang it! Very nice PP here.
I love everything about this-the textures, colours, composition, did I mention the I love it? lol.
I have to agree. There isn't anything I would do with this. Nicely captured.
Thanks guys, I actually like the knot in it. the yellow that is worn through kinda compliments the handle
Nothing but agreement here. I love it as well. Very nice work.
Thanks guys. Whats crazy is what the exposure was. I was just experimenting with it and it was F32 at 1/2 second. pretty crazy huh?
Others have said everything ... great work Kevin!!
Nice photo. The texture and color is excellent. Can I ask which lens and aperture you're using?
Is there anything gained by using f/32 at 1/2? It seems diffraction would reduce sharpness at such a small aperture. Looks gorgeous all the same though.
i used the Kit lens that came with my camera. its 18-70 3.5 - 5.6. and with this camera that's the only I seem to get pretty good shots is if i use small aperture don't know why but that's what it seems. If i just do a normal exposure its not as sharp or focused.
Sounds like a depth of field thing Kevin. The lower f-stops produce a much shallower DOF (less will be in focus) which can be good for isolating your subject. Try a tripod for those lower f-stops, or if you don't have one then sit the camera on a table etc, and use the self timer and see if that helps with the focus.
I love it Also ! For such a simple subject it realy makes a fine art pic.
I'm jealous LOL.:1st:
