Impressive picture. The perfectly calm lake reflects the mountain perfectly, except for the foreground geography. Made my eyes pause and stare to take the whole picture in. Love the mountains. Thanks for sharing this.

Wonderful composition here for sure but the entire shot looks soft to me. The shot would also sing louder imo with a contrast boost.
Thanks for pointing out the softness issue Marko, maybe this will look better...

MUCH better! This is very good sharpness in the top mountain; you could still go sharper if there's room but not by much.
The contrast boost is better but it could still go higher as well. You're getting close to "slap a frame on that puppy and hang it on your wall" :D
amazing what a bit of unsharp mask & a high pass filter will do. I'm also going to get a calibration puck so that I can win my arguments @ walmart har har (as if!)
The second one is definitely a much nicer shot. Love the reflection here. We don't really have mountains in Nova Scotia - they call some of them mountains but they're really just big hills - and I've always liked seeing them in photos.
There is just so much potential in this picture, it just begs to be photoshop. I just couldn't help myself...

I've messed around with levels, brightness, contrast, vibrance, saturation and colorbalance. Just quickly, but it should give kind of an idea of what is possible with a picture like this...
