In short, yes. I think you've got the makings of a really good image here, but it's not quite there. As-is the excessive highlights on the mullions don't really work for me, but what I think it really needs is a selective colouration; say a B&W scene with the mirror/reflection in colour, or everything foreground B&W and that outside the windows in colour. Excellent idea though - I like it.
good idea.. thanks... I've never tried using selective colouring yet...
this is fun! is it a self portrait? (and i can see the little mirror in the cabin meant for shaving doesnt get used for shaving often heh! ;)) do you notice a reflection just to the right of the mirror, on the glass? i see an eye... thats kinda weird!
thanks... this is my uncle who was up for a visit... and you are right... not many people seems to shave at the cottage do it doesn't get used much ...except by female guests visiting from Toronto who still feel the need to apply lipstick while sitting in the middle of the bush...
but does anyone else see the eye in the reflection on the glass? is there something on the back of the mirror or am i smoking something funny...? :p
Well.... it's been a while since i've had time to hang around and play with paintshop.... this one was on my list and thanks Tirediron for the suggestion....
i also changed his shirt from grey to green to help promote the colourization in the mirror...
and dodged around his eyes and sharpened his beard bit.... and removed some blotches that were on the mirror....
anyone like??
i dig it - but the "eye behind the mirror" stands out a bit more in black and white
