Hi members!
The level 2 assignment is Macro photography (done with a macro lens or extension tubes or reversing ring or just as close as you can with your best close-up lens) and should be posted here in this thread.
OK then - who will post first?

Found this little guy on my screen door yesterday.Attachment 17454
Cool colors!
I've been meaning to get out and shoot these in our front yard--this assignment gave me a good excuse!

What a cool looking bug. You must have cropped in quite a bit on the image to make it look this close up.
Nice detail, RM!
Nice detail and really nice watch!
Looking good!
Macro fun with food colour and waterAttachment 17458
I don't have much of macro equipment, so this is about the best I can do.
***Now its off to kill the little *******s!!! They are killing my flower beds***

Crashcat, what a creepy little guy!
Missy, I love those colors, and one heck of a job freezing that moment!
AT, really nice shot, sorry to hear they're trashing your garden.
that's creepy crashcat!
VERY soothing image Missy - I dig the colors!
AT - Good on you for capturing the scene! bad on you for killing your subjects after photographing them. (I'm a freely admitted softie ).
Little Fly on a Leaf
Attachment 17460
Not sure what kind of fly it is but he was rather small, I would guess about 3 or 4 millimeters in size. Caught him by flipping my 50mm around backwards as one of my makeshift macros.
VERY cool one iggy - Love it.
Attachment 17461Attachment 17462An antique Kodak moment, and reasonably close flower shot.
This was taken with my 85 mm micro lens but without a tripod. :(

And one more.

Loving the variety here so far. Here is another. This time a corkscrew. Lighting from below horizontal gave some funky reflections that I liked.

I don't have a macro lens so this is a reversed 50mm 1.4 handholding the camera (5Dc) and the lens against the mount (a little tricky) and 1 off camera flash.

A drippy hydrangea

Quite like that flower shot Jim.
Strong colours Jas even with no tripod.
RM - that's way cool. Well made.
You've chosen interesting angles Mike bons - Nice play.
Nice and sharp Postman - way cool.
Lovely image and bluish tones jason, well done on the comp and the drops.
Lots of nice images! I especially enjoy the watch face detail, the pastel tones in the flower with a hand-held reversed lens, and the composition of the drippy hydrangea. Here are some images I took a few days ago.
Blue crystal wine glass.

Ant head (I think) in amber.

Macros are fun. The actual area of this photo is about 1 inch by 3/4 inch.
